I’ve always been quite lucky traveling regularly as a kid. We were expats and would move every 2-3 years. While moving this often was difficult, I’ve got to experience some amazing things and become accustom to different cultures and places.
I’m sure many of you love to travel, and some of you don’t, depending on what suits you. I definitely love to travel and plan on doing lots this year! I did say that this blog was going to combine travel, fashion, and adventure (cause life is an adventure right?) So perhaps I should share my plans for this year!
In 2017 I went on my first proper solo/semi-solo travel which hopefully I’ll get to tell you more about soon (see some pics below!). I met up with a friend from England and we explored Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia, Belarus and Poland. I also met up with an acting company I’m involved in (yes I act! and sing! and unfortunately I also have to dance.) and toured Germany, England, and some of Wales. Safe to say I had an amazing trip and as I’m going back with my acting company for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival I thought I’d make a trip of it (since Europe is so bloody far from Australia!)
So on this trip to Europe I will be starting in Scotland (for the fringe festival), then down to London, to France, Spain, Monaco, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Holland (My oma lives there!), Belgium and then back to London (hopefully to spend time with my cousin and spend time at Harrods!). I’ll be there for about 2 months or so and safe to say I’m very excited!
While I’ve been to a big chunk of these countries (I lived in Scotland and Holland as a child), I’m excited to go independently and go back to some of my favourite places!
Before this trip I will also be going on a trip with my parents to Singapore and the Maldives. We haven’t been on a family holiday for a while so I’m looking forward to it.
Lastly! I think we might be going back to South Africa at Christmas time. Most of our family lives in SA and, as I said in a previous post, we miss them all terribly!
So if anyone has any recommendations, particularly for food, please drop a comment below!
Lots of Love,
